2020 Graduate Spotlight: Alison Marino

The College Fund of Pinellas County, Inc. would like to highlight our scholarship recipients who are doing amazing things in the classroom, on their campuses, and in the community!

Next up in our student spotlight... Meet Allison Marino!

Allison graduated from Florida State University in May 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Art History and Media Communication Studies. Allison is excited to begin the Master’s in Art History program at The University of Texas at Austin in August!

While in college, Allison completed an internship at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, FL in Summer 2019. She was granted 2 travel grants through the FSU College of Fine Arts - one took her to Chicago, IL in March 2019 and the other to Philadelphia, PA in November 2019. As a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Allison was selected as the winner of the Marion Jewell Hay Award in her final semester of college.

Allison says: "The best thing about being a recipient of this scholarship was being a part of the community that came with it. More than just getting a check each semester, I was invited to annual end-of-year celebrations and kept informed on what other College Fund recipients were doing through their newsletter. It made traveling across the state for college less scary knowing that I had the support of my hometown!”

Congratulations Allison on all you’ve accomplished thus far. This is just the beginning!
