2020 Graduate Spotlight: Armoni Farmer

The College Fund of Pinellas County, Inc. would like to highlight our scholarship recipients who are doing amazing things in the classroom, on their campuses, and in the community!
Next up in our student spotlight... Meet Armoni Farmer!

Armoni graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in December of 2020!

During her time at Florida State, she earned a number of scholastic accolades including Dean’s List (6 times!), President’s List (2 times!), and membership in two academic honor societies When she wasn’t working hard to earn those stellar grades, she was gaining career experience as a research assistant for Dr. Cougle’s Mental Health and Anxiety Lab, lab assistant at the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement, and mental health assistant. She was also heavily involved in the local community volunteering as a Hotline Crisis Counselor for 211 Big Bend, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, and a mentor at Leon County Public Schools.

Today Armoni is a Behavioral Health Technician at a mental health facility in Tallahassee. She plans to become a Physician Assistant.

Armoni says “The scholarship awarded by College Fund helped ensure a certain level of financial stability throughout my college career. By reducing my worries about funding, they afforded me the opportunity to put all my focus and attention into my academic studies.”

She wants to thank the College Fund for providing support along the way.

“The best thing about being a recipient of this scholarship is the additional support and concern granted to you,” she said. “I was not only supported financially, but emotionally as well. I was connected to people who genuinely cared about my success.”

Keep shining Armoni. We are beyond proud of you!
